Australia: 1927-1988
Cricket - Bill Johnston.

A description with many details about Bill Johnston is given in Wikipedia or Absolute Astronomy.

William Arras Johnston (1922-2007) was a remarkable bowler who played 47 Tests for Australia. Not only could be bowl left arm pace but he was also an excellent orthodox left arm spinner.

Bill Johnston is best remembered as a spearhead of Don Bradman's undefeated 1948 touring team which is now, with great respect and reverence, referred to as "The Invincibles". Johnston headed the wicket-taking lists in both the Test and the first-class matches on the tour. As a testament to his great ability, Bill Johnston was the last Australian to take over 100 wickets on a tour of England.

Bradman regarded him as Australia's greatest ever left-arm bowler.
